Hi!
I'm Yaya Bardsky. I'm a middle-aged wife and mom yearning to do it all. I can't- at least not today. Who can?
In case you are interested in my background, I was born into a military family, traveling quite a bit when I was younger. (I come by my wanderlust honestly, it seems.) As a child, I was very interested in nature and animals- horses in particular. In fact, that led me to live where I do. One day, while living overseas, I was reading a book with 100 different breeds of horses. Somewhere in there, it stated that Kentucky is the "horse capital of the world." Well, of course I had to move there! This horse-crazy girl figured that would be the best way to be closer to horses. I was right! I even have a few of my own now.
I'm all grown up and I have a wonderful family. My husband is the rock in my life: standing strong for me when I start to fall or become buffeted about by the winds of misfortune. He's my nerd. My nerdalicious, adorkable superhero. Tall, dark, and handsome, I call him Clark- he even rocks the glasses. I have been blessed with some amazing (adult) children. Tony is married to Olivia. He's an IT guy, like my hubs. Olivia is a vet surgical tech. Tarzan is a wonderfully talented artist and performer. Sharra teaches Spanish. She is engaged to a young man named Ricardo. Not one of my children live near me. In lieu of being able to dote on my human children, I've adopted animals for children. I have two horses, a pony, a service dog named Dude, and a rather psychotic cat. Yep, I know cats are psychotic by nature, but Panda is in a realm of his own.
In addition to doting on my critters, I also enjoy helping people, spending time outside, learning new things, reading, crafting, painting, cooking, going out to eat and discovering new favorite foods, taking walks, people-watching, and TRAVEL. These are the topics on which I write. I'm not a girly-girl, and I hate having to take the time to do my hair or put on makeup. I'm not into high fashion. Comfort and sturdiness are what I like in my clothes/shoes. I'm not afraid to get dirty. If this sounds like something you'd like to do- come join me.
